In Modesto, coffee shops cluster around downtown offices, college campuses and the main commercial streets of residential neighborhoods, and the independents usually close by mid-afternoon while chains stay open into the evening. Across California, drive-thru coffee stands and kiosks fill the gap in suburbs and along highways, and roasters often sell bags and brewing gear at the counter. Check the listing for hours, whether the cafe takes mobile orders, and its Google rating and recent reviews; parking is easiest at suburban locations, while downtown shops rely on street meters or nearby garages. Modesto is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Modesto is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Very good experience. It was warmer inside the restaurant than it was outside with doors open, keep that in mind if you like a air conditioned restaurant. The service was very good, attentive the whole time. We had simple breakfast avocado toast and egg for my colleague and for myself, simple American breakfast. They follow the instructions quite well on crispy hash browns and bacon. The top layer of the hash browns was a deep golden brown. Sourdough toast had good flavor. The coffee was mediocre, but I've had a lot worse. The guy I was traveling with kept getting bit by a bug he thinks maybe a mosquito probably because the door was open. That forced us to leave a little bit earlier then planned. Overall I probably wouldn't return to this place because of the hot room and bug bites. But the food and service was good which is why the review is a 4.

Not a great first experience here and I one hundred percent will not be returning. Got weird vibe from waitress the moment I walking in at 6am. I get it no biggie but it got worse. I ordered the eggs Benedict and didn’t realize there more than the kind I wanted so when brought out it was the ones with ham. I do wish she would have confirmed. But take full responsibility. I apologized to waitress and she said no worries but went back and sternly called what im assuming was the cooks name and I heard her telling him β€œshe meant to tell me she wanted the Cali ones”. No biggie. I couldn’t hear the cooks replies but then she said β€œi know..I know… Just take the meat out!” and I felt that was extremelyyyy unprofessional and borderline rude so I just pretty much stopped engaging at that point besides bare minimum. When my food came none of it was good but I ate it bc I was hungry. The eggs were absolutely drowning in hollandaise sauce and the potatoes were cold and not bc they food was remade bc that was pretty quick and they just tasted old or reheated. I feel they still would have been cold had I kept the first eggs Benedict brought out. And now my stomach genuinely feels very upset from

Im so happy to find this gem! After Waffle Shop was bought out, I've been looking for a replacement. This is it! Great, fresh food, and friendly service. Loved that my diced ham and scrambled eggs came with biscuits and gravy....well worth the cost $13.99.

I was looking forward to trying this place and it was a wonderful experience! I highly recommend visiting. The staff was so helpful and gave great advice. The Chili Verde Omelet was very unique. It seems the meat was marinated before the green sauce. It really had good flavor. The biscuits and gravy was good. Middle of the road gravy but the biscuit really stood out. It was almost like a shepherds bread. I really liked that. The absolute star of the food was a surprise to me. It was the Turkey Melt! I usually try different things but the waitress suggested it and it was tops. I really couldn't find anything they could do better.
